The BM3010 brake tester is capable of measuring up to 700 daN/kgf in each wheel, which equals or out-performs most conventional brake testers on the market.
The BM3010 is approved by several international authorities like RWTÜV Germany. The BM3010 is designed for workshop and vehicle inspection applications.
The brake tester features a long range of options, which allows for a configuration, which can meet most customer requirements including:
- Infrared remote control
- Pedal force measurement
- Test of 4x4 driven vehicles
- Automatic axle weighing system
- Diagnostic/graphical printout without connection to PC
- Connection to local or remote PC with BM windows software
- Prepared for test line expansion including Suspension tester, Speedometer tester and side slip tester all controlled from same electronics with results shown in one display.
The BM3010 is equipped with same electronics and software as the other BM brake tester models for light vehicles BM7010, BM8010 and BM9010 A and B and therefore the BM3010 offers same high test standard and data processing as these models.
The design of BM3010 is made to a very high standard both in terms of quality and safety. All steel is of highest quality (to maintain strength and reduce weight) and hot galvanised. The wear surface of rollers is based on mesh steel to ensure long lifetime and accurate measurement.
The BM3010 can be installed in-ground when supplied with a hot galvanised sub-frame. The idea behind this feature, is that a BM3010 can be used as on-ground by a customer in rented building and when moving to own buildings, the brake tester can - if requested - be installed in-ground as a conventional brake tester.
The BM3010 can be supplied with a PDA solution, which allows the operator to control and monitor the test results live directly on a PDA unit.
Wheel span: 850 to 2250/2850 mm.
Advantage and benefit
The rollerbed of BM3010 is unique as it is only 16 cm high. The complete unit can be moved around in the workshop by one person, when the brake tester is equipped with wheels. The roller bed features the option of an automatic weighing system even when installed directly on the workshop floor.
Placing the BM3010 directly on the floor saves cost of civil work. Another cost advantage of on-ground installation is that it simplifies the project of purchasing/selling, installing, training and commissioning a brake tester.
The BM3010 can easily be transported from site to site on a flatbed truck or a trailer. This allows for customers to share the brake tester between different sites or to perform brake test of vehicles at fleet owners site.
The BM3010 is as standard supplied with a display having two large analogue readings of brake force left and right and 50 mm high bright digital readout of brake force imbalance.
When configured with suspension tester and side slip, then these gauges and the digital imbalance window is used to display the test result from this equipment.
Optionally the BM3010 can be supplied with a special Windows based BM display, which additionally has 50 mm high bright digital readout of ovality, pedal force, weight, efficiency, suspension values, speed and distance values.
The display for a BM3010 is usually purchased with a mobile trolley, which allows for the display to be wheeled to a convenient position. However the display can also be mounted either on the wall saving floor space or on floor column devices.
The BM3010 can be supplied in a minimum configuration and still allows for later upgrade to all options. This means that in case the customer later wants to upgrade to a higher specification due to new legislation or other, then customer will not experience, that he has to purchase another brake tester.
As standard the BM3010 software allows for advanced graphical printout enabling the customer to perform both preinspection brake tests and diagnosing before repair brake tests. This advanced printout of test results can be done without having to connect a PC to the brake tester.
The BM3010 can be configured to run BM Windows Software programs installed on a PC. This PC can replace the analogue display or it can be an "add-on" installed in the workshop office. The Windows program allows for advanced storing and presentation of test results using SQL database technology.
The BM3010 is used in workshops, where it is placed directly on the floor saving cost of civil work. It can also be installed outside to save floor space inside.
The BM3010 can be placed in front of a 4-post lift. As the height of the BM3010 matches the height of most 4-post lift, the BM3010 requires only 2 drive-on ramps, which then also perform as drive on ramps to the 4-post lift.
The BM3010 can be shared by different sites, as it can easily be transported on a flat bed truck or a trailer.
The BM3010 can be used for both leasing/hiring as well as "try before buy" sells.
